Extraction 2: Chris Hemsworth Shares New Images From The Set Of Netflix’s Sequel

Thor star Chris Hemsworth recently wrapped production of his upcoming MCU movie Thor: Love and Thunder, and he’s already back on the set. This time for the sequel of Netflix’s action-thriller Extraction.

Sam Hargrave directed Extraction in his directional debut from the screenplay written by Joe Russo, director of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. The movie starred Hemsworth, Rudhraksh Jaiswal, Randeep Hooda, Priyanshu Painyuli, Golshifteh Farahani, Pankaj Tripathi, and David Harbour.

Extraction premiered in April 2020, when most of the world was home, watching Netflix. Thanks to that, the movie became the most-watched Netflix movie in history at the time, with 99 million reported households in the first four weeks. Only one month after the release, Netflix announced that Joe Russo will start writing a screenplay for the sequel.

Now, the sequel is officially in production, and Chris Hemsworth posted on his Instagram account behind the scene images that are showing that a part of the sequel will take place in the frosty location. You can check the post below:

Hemsworth wrote on Instagram that they’ve just finished the second week of filming. The post got more than 2 million likes.

Sam Hargrave returns as the director for the sequel, Joe Russo wrote a screenplay based on the story he made up with his brother Anthony. Chris Hemsworth returns as Tyler Rake, a former Special Air Service Regiment operator turned black ops mercenary.
