The first trailer for “Eyes of Wakanda,” a new four-episode animated series, has just been released. The show is executive produced by Ryan Coogler, who directed the popular “Black Panther” movies. It will be available on Disney+ starting August 1.

This series takes place in Wakanda, the fictional African nation that fans know from the Black Panther films. The story follows the courageous Wakandan warriors known as the Hatut Zaraze.

These warriors go on dangerous missions around the world to recover Vibranium artifacts from Wakanda’s enemies. As the series’ description says, “They are the Hatut Zaraze and this is their story.”

The voice cast includes well-known actors like Winnie Harlow, Cress Williams, Patricia Belcher, and Anika Noni Rose, among others.

Wakanda was last seen in the 2022 film “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” which followed up on the 2018 original. That movie expanded the Marvel Universe by introducing the underwater kingdom of Atlantis and brought back several familiar faces like Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, and Angela Bassett.

Characters from Wakanda have also appeared in other Marvel shows, like Ayo, played by Florence Kasumba, who showed up in the Disney+ series “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.” Ayo first appeared in “Captain America: Civil War” as a key member of the Dora Milaje.

“Eyes of Wakanda” is part of a bigger deal between Ryan Coogler’s Proximity production company and Disney. They are working on multiple TV projects for the Marvel Cinematic Universe over several years.

The series is directed and executive produced by Todd Harris. He started his work as a storyboard artist on the “Black Panther” films before moving on to directing this new animated series. Other executive producers include Ryan Coogler, Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt.

According to sources, this series will give fans a closer look at Wakanda’s rich history and heroic warriors through exciting adventures filled with action and mystery.

“We are proud to bring these stories to life and continue the legacy of Wakanda,” said one of the producers.

The trailer is already out, so fans can get their first glimpse of this exciting new chapter in the Marvel world.
