‘Fallout’ Season 2 New Look Heads to New Vegas, Featuring Walton Goggins

Fallout fans can finally get excited again. Prime Video has revealed new look images from season two of the hit series, and they confirm what everyone has been waiting for: the story is heading to New Vegas. The new season will arrive in December 2025.

The show, produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Kilter Films, is based on the popular Bethesda video game. It tells the story of a broken world more than two hundred years after the apocalypse, where people from luxury vaults are forced to live in the wasteland their ancestors left behind. What they find is violent, strange, and often darkly funny.

Season two will pick up right after the big finale of season one and take the journey into the Mojave desert. Fans of the games will immediately recognize New Vegas, home to one of the most mysterious figures in the Fallout universe, Mr. House. Rafi Silver will play the character in the new season.

The cast is returning with Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, and Frances Turner. New faces are joining too, including Macaulay Culkin as what showrunners call a “crazy genius,” and Kumail Nanjiani as a high-ranking member of the Brotherhood of Steel.

Co-showrunner Graham Wagner revealed in an interview that one of the game’s most terrifying monsters is also coming. “We wanted to do it properly,” he said, explaining why deathclaws were left out of season one. Season two will finally bring them into the story.

Fallout first premiered on April 10, 2024, and quickly became a success with both fans and critics. People praised the performances, especially from Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, and Walton Goggins, as well as the style and attention to the game’s details.

Prime Video renewed it for a second season by the end of April, and in May 2025 a third season was confirmed before the second had even aired. The series has already earned 17 Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series and a Best Actor nomination for Goggins.

Season two will bring back characters like Lucy MacLean, Maximus, Cooper Howard (also known as the Ghoul), and Norm MacLean, along with familiar faces like Betty Pearson, Dane, and Thaddeus.

With New Vegas, Mr. House, new characters, and the long-awaited deathclaws, Fallout season two is shaping up to be bigger than the first. The newly revealed images and poster are just the start as the countdown to December begins.
