Fans Declare ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ a Hit as Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes Is Revealed
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is officially a hit with audiences, and fans are making their voices heard. After strong early reviews from critics, the latest Marvel Studios movie has now landed an impressive 92% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, based on over 1,000 ratings.
That’s even higher than its already solid 88% score from critics, putting it in serious contention with Thunderbolts* as one of 2025’s best superhero films so far.

Directed by Matt Shakman and starring Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn as Marvel’s first family, the film brings a bold new take on the iconic heroes.
Set in a stylized, retro-futuristic version of the 1960s, the story follows the team as they face off against Galactus, played by Ralph Ineson, in a battle that spans space, science, and emotional stakes.
Now that the movie is playing in theaters worldwide, fans are sharing what they loved most about it. Many praised the cast’s chemistry, especially the way the team dynamic felt like a real family. Viewers were also blown away by the visuals, with some saying the Galactus scenes were stunning in IMAX. The black hole sequence, in particular, left a big impression.
Pedro Pascal’s performance as Reed Richards turned skeptics into fans within minutes, while Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm was widely seen as the standout. Julia Garner’s take on Shalla-Bal and Ineson’s Galactus were also called out as memorable. Several fans said the emotional core of the film, including a key moment about motherhood, left them in tears.
The film’s mix of action, emotion, and 1960s style created a unique atmosphere that fans appreciated. The soundtrack and visuals helped bring that world to life, and many felt the movie struck the right balance between heart and spectacle. Even those who noticed a few minor CGI issues said they didn’t take away from the overall experience.
The film ends on a strong note with a post-credits scene that has people buzzing about what’s next. Some fans even said it gave them hope for the future of the MCU. As one viewer put it, “the MCU is so back, baby!”
It was amazing seeing in IMAX 3D! when you could see how huge Galactus is! Glad to see him as a villain! Many cool scenes from all the cast, especially in the black hole scene! that was crazy! I love the chemistry of all the cast members as well! and it made me cry at the mothers love story. Can’t wait for Doomsday!

This was the best CGI in every Marvel movie. The CGI was phenomenal. The beginning was really good and then that ending we seen that in the other movies, but that post credit scene was fired

the MCU is Sooooo Back baby!! There was only one issue I had and that was some minimal CGI blunders besides that this was a true form of marvel we’ve been missing. the cast is wonderful, my skepticism of Pedro as Reed went all out the window in the first 10 mins of the film. Vanessa Kirby was and is the only Sue, she was the breakout star alongside Ralph Ineson as Galactus and Julia Garner as Shalla-Bal. Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm is superb and Joseph Quinn as Johnny was perfectly casted, the entire family element worked and you could tell they all got along and enjoyed making this Fantastic Four.

Great film with amazing soundtrack and effects! The atmosphere of 60s gives a surprising dive into interesting plot with highlighted values as meaning of family, courage and action. Vey good cast, especially Doctor Reed and Silver Surfer. And don’t stand after titles, there is a very good surprise waiting for you…

The Fantastic Four movie was genuinely enjoyable. As a standalone film, it held up really well. The chemistry between the team was strong, and I loved each of the actors in their roles. Ben and Johnny were especially fun to watch, though I do wish they had more screen time together. Pedro Pascal surprised me as Reed Richards—I was initially unsure about his casting, but he delivered a solid performance. Vanessa Kirby was fantastic as Sue Storm, bringing strength and heart to the character. Visually, the film was stunning. Galactus was a highlight—massive, intimidating, and portrayed with a real sense of danger and suspense. They absolutely nailed his presence on screen. The Silver Surfer was decent; she had some intense moments, especially with her ability to phase through objects and people, which made her feel genuinely threatening at times. If anything, I just wish the movie had been a bit longer. While the post-credit scene clearly sets up Avengers: Doomsday, I was hoping for a little more payoff in this film itself—but that might just be me.
