Fans Emotional as New Mom Debby Ryan Reunites With ‘Jessie’ Cast After a Decade
More than ten years after Jessie ended, some of its main stars have come back together in a new reunion that fans are loving.
Debby Ryan recently met up with her former co-stars Karan Brar, Kevin Chamberlin, and Peyton List in New York City. The group spent time together while working on different projects in the city, and they shared the moment with fans online.
The meet-up happened around their theater work. Debby and Kevin went to see Karan perform in the off-Broadway play “Data.” Later, Peyton joined them after finishing her own show, “Heathers The Musical.” The night quickly turned into a full reunion.
Debby posted photos on Instagram and shared how much things have changed since their Disney Channel days. “Karan & Peyton are 9 years older than I was when we started filming Jessie. Currently NINE years older than the character of Jessie. And they and Kevin are living in NYC for real and thriving in theater. And I have a kid of my own ✨ family,” she wrote.
The post also confirmed a big update in her personal life. Debby is now a mom. Her daughter, Felix, was born last year. She shares the child with her husband Josh Dun. Fans were quick to react to the news, especially those who grew up watching her on TV.
Her co-stars responded with their own messages. Karan wrote, “the joy you bring into my life is unmatched. love you Deb,” while Peyton added, “Felix Fan Club. Love you guys soo much.” Kevin also shared photos and referenced the show’s theme song, writing, “It feels like a party every day with @debbyryan @karanbrar @peytonlist.”
Debby gave more details through her Instagram stories. She explained that moments like this always bring back memories. “when any combination of cast members collide, there’s always someone who sings the theme at us … usually it’s a passerby this time it was kevin,” she said. In another message, she shared how the night felt, writing, “It was actually hilarious and so sweet; we talked about things we remember, how much we missed the jessie family etc.” All of this information comes directly from their Instagram posts and stories.
The reunion reminded many fans of the impact Jessie had during its run. The show aired on Disney Channel and followed a young nanny in New York City taking care of a group of kids from a wealthy family. It became one of the most popular shows on the network at the time and helped launch the careers of several young actors.
Over the years, Jessie stayed relevant through reruns and streaming. Many viewers still remember its characters, jokes, and theme song. The series also led to a spin-off and built a strong fan base that has stayed active online. For a lot of people, it represents a big part of their childhood.
Seeing the cast together again shows how close they still are, even after going in different directions. Some moved into music, others into film and theater, but the connection from the show is still there.
Reunions like this are special because they feel real and not forced. You can see that the cast still cares about each other. It also shows how strong the show’s legacy is, since people are still excited about it after so many years. What do you think about this Jessie reunion? Do you still watch the show?
