Fast X: Jason Statham Confirmed To Return As Deckard Shaw
Dwayne Johson already confirmed he will not return to the Fast & Furious franchise, apart from the eventual sequel to his spin-off Hobbs and Shaw, in which he starred alongside Jason Statham. Although Hobbs will not return, Shaw will! In a recent post on Instagram, Fast X star Chris Ludacris Bridges confirmed that Jason Statham will return as Deckard Shaw in the upcoming tenth installment of the saga, which is currently in production.
Statham debuted as Deckard Shaw, brother of Luke Evans’ Owen Shaw, in the post-credit scene of the Fast & Furious 6. He was the main villain in the seventh installment, and he also reprised the role in the eighth installment and the spin-off of Hobbs and Shaw. Although he was absent from the latest F9, Statham appeared in the post-credit scene, in which he was beating the character played by the Bosnian-Herzegovinian actor Miraj Grbić. At the end of the scene, Sung Kang’s Han paid Shaw a visit, and Shaw was evidently shocked to see him.
In the latest post on Instagram, Chris Ludacris Bridges, who plays the role of Tej Parker, shared a video on the set in which he was accompanied by Statham, confirming Statham’s return. You can check the video below:
