Finn Wolfhard Reveals the Reason for Not Wanting To Join the MCU
Finn Wolfhard began acting in 2012 with a role in the music video “Retro Oceans.” In 2014, he appeared in “The 100” as Zoran and in “Supernatural” as Jordie Pinsky.
His big break came in 2016 when he started playing Mike Wheeler in the Netflix series “Stranger Things.” He auditioned for the role by submitting a video after seeing an open casting call. Wolfhard and his co-stars won a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
It’s clear that Wolfhard has emerged as a promising young talent in the acting world, making him a great fit for the MCU. The franchise has been seeking fresh faces to bring new energy to its lineup of superheroes and characters.
Recently, Finn participated in a lie detector test for a Vanity Fair video. During the test, he was asked several questions and presumably answered honestly. He admitted that he once had ambitions to join the MCU, but those aspirations have since faded away.
Finn was asked by the interviewers whether he doesn’t want to join the MCU “because the movies were mid recently” and Wolfhard answered a simple “yes.”
Both audiences and critics seem to agree with both the interviewer and Wolfhard, at least judging by the box office results. When asked if he could improve the quality of movies by joining the MCU, Finn replied that he doesn’t have that power alone.
Wolfhard’s latest role was in ‘Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire,’ which received poor reviews. His upcoming projects include ‘The Legend of Ochi’ and a biographical comedy-drama directed by Jason Reitman, ‘SNL 1975.’
