‘Fire Country’ and ‘Sheriff Country’ Join Forces Again in a High-Stakes CBS Crossover
CBS is bringing its Edgewater-set dramas together once again. ‘Fire Country’ and its spin-off ‘Sheriff Country’ share a world, with Morena Baccarin’s Sheriff Mickey Fox serving as the stepsister of Cal Fire division chief Sharon Leone, played by Diane Farr.
Their first crossover debuted in April 2026 and began with a mysterious school bus explosion. Officials feared children were on board, but the bus turned out to be empty, and the blast was no accident, kicking off a 2-hour manhunt that Matt Lauria described as epic, according to TVLine.
Now fans are getting round 2. ‘Fire Country’ and ‘Sheriff Country’ are having another crossover event, with first-look photos already released ahead of the Friday, November 6 broadcast on CBS.
The 2-hour event kicks off with ‘Sheriff Country’ at 8 pm ET/PT, followed by ‘Fire Country’ at 9 pm. Part 1 is titled “No Way In”, and Collider reports that Part 2 is titled “No Way Out”. The crossover begins with a massive wildfire in Cribb Valley, where Station 42 and ESCO prepare a joint operation. Bode and Boone then find evidence that convicts have escaped, as the fire grows more explosive and the heroes race to get innocent people to safety.
In Part 1, a dangerous prison break escalates into a volatile hostage crisis. Sheriff Mickey Fox must make a high-stakes decision with personal consequences that could change the case and put more lives at risk. Part 2 picks up as the escaped convicts set off a dangerous manhunt. Bode and the Station 42 crew team up with Mickey and her deputies to protect Edgewater.
Showrunner Matt Lopez has said the theme of this year’s crossover is “Impossible Choices”, according to Collider. The story centers on Manny Perez and Mickey, the leaders of their respective emergency services, as they handle the danger together.
Lopez also revealed that Eve, Skye and Tex are at Edgewater’s diner, The Meat Up, when the escaped convicts arrive looking for revenge. One of the convicts reportedly has a score to settle with Mickey.
This year’s event features a larger lineup of characters crossing between shows. Max Thieriot’s Bode, Kevin Alejandro’s Manny and Jules Latimer’s Eve guest star in “No Way In”. On the ‘Fire Country’ side, ‘Sheriff Country’ stars Baccarin, Lauria, Michele Weaver, Amanda Arcuri and Ian Quinlan all appear.
The ‘Sheriff Country’ cast also includes W. Earl Brown as Wes Fox and Christopher Gorham as Travis Fraley. The first-look images tease the action to come. One photo shows Bode in a Cal Fire shirt alongside a deputy holding a gun, set against a red fire vehicle and a rural road.

‘Fire Country’ premiered on CBS on October 7, 2022, and has since grown into a franchise. Collider notes that a planned medical spin-off starring Noah Reid is also in the works. With wildfires, escaped convicts, and a hostage crisis all in one night, this year’s crossover is aiming even bigger than the first.
