‘Fire Country’ Season 5 Episode 5 Finale Release Date, Time, Where to Watch and Preview
The fifth episode of ‘Fire Country’, titled “No Way Out,” is set for November 6, 2026, with a US airtime of 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and Paramount+ Premium. It concludes a two hour crossover with ‘Sheriff Country’, which is why many viewers are treating it as a finale of sorts.
It is not the end of the season, though. The current run was cut to 13 episodes, down from the 20 aired previously, so plenty of story remains. What this hour does promise is the resolution of a prison break and manhunt that begins in the ‘Sheriff Country’ installment that airs first.
Finale Release Date and Time
CBS has placed the crossover on a single night. The event opens with an hour of ‘Sheriff Country’ at 8 p.m., followed by an hour of ‘Fire Country’ at 9 p.m. Viewers who want the full story should tune in for both hours.
The series keeps its Friday night slot at 9 p.m. ET/PT, so the schedule will feel familiar to regular viewers. In the Central time zone, that works out to the same 8 p.m. CT slot used for the season opener.
The episode also arrives right after a fourth installment titled “Winners and Losers,” which is set for October 30 and finds Station 42 facing public scrutiny. That makes the crossover the next major turning point for the team.
Where to Watch the Finale
The simplest option is live television. New episodes air on CBS and stream on Paramount+, and the crossover follows that same pattern.
Anyone who misses the broadcast does not have to wait long. New episodes of the series have been made available on Paramount+ the day after they air on CBS. That includes the live stream option for subscribers on the Premium tier.
Those still catching up have a clear path as well. All four earlier seasons of ‘Fire Country’ can be watched on demand on Paramount+, which helps new viewers get oriented before the crossover.
Preview of “No Way Out”
The official description sets up a tense hour. Escaped convicts trigger a dangerous manhunt, and Bode and the Station 42 crew join forces with Sheriff Mickey Fox and her deputies to protect their loved ones and the community caught in the crossfire.
The ‘Sheriff Country’ half lays the groundwork. A prison break escalates into a volatile hostage crisis, forcing Mickey, played by Morena Baccarin, to make a high stakes decision with personal consequences. That sets the conditions Station 42 walks into.
Sheriff Country showrunner Matt Lopez has offered some context on what to expect. He said Mickey and Manny figure heavily in the story, and that the escaped convicts are on the loose on the day of a windstorm and fire event. The natural disaster angle gives the firefighters a reason to be in the middle of a law enforcement problem.
The episode was written by Barbara Kaye Friend and directed by Bill Purple. That is a creative pairing worth noting for viewers who follow the show behind the scenes.
Crossover Cast and What It Means for Station 42
The guest list is sizable. Baccarin, Matt Lauria and Michele Weaver cross over, along with Amanda Arcuri and Ian Quinlan from ‘Sheriff Country’. Several of those stars appear in the closing hour, while only three ‘Fire Country’ stars cross into the opening hour.
This is not the first time the two series have shared a story. The first crossover event took place in April 2026, which makes this the second joint outing for Edgewater’s first responders. The repeat suggests CBS sees value in pairing the two Friday dramas.
The season so far has also been busy for the central cast. The premiere followed a sinkhole during the town’s Founders’ Day festival and introduced Olivia Thirlby as urban firefighter Cecilia Jade “CJ” Ryan. How CJ and the rest of the crew handle a crisis that reaches beyond the firehouse will be one of the more interesting elements of this hour.
With Mickey and Manny reportedly at the center of the story, do you think their shared history will shape the outcome of the manhunt more than the fire itself?
