Netflix has released the first trailer for Bridgerton Season 4, giving fans a glimpse of new romance, drama, and intrigue.

The trailer focuses on Benedict Bridgerton, played by Luke Thompson, and his budding romance with Sophie Baek, portrayed by Yerin Ha. The season is set to premiere on January 29, 2026.

Throughout the previous seasons, viewers have followed the love stories of the Bridgerton siblings. From Daphne and Simon’s passionate relationship in Season 1 to Anthony and Kate’s fiery romance in Season 2, and Penelope and Colin finally coming together in Season 3, each season has offered a mix of heartbreak and joy.

Meanwhile, Benedict has largely remained focused on his artistic pursuits and a more unconventional lifestyle. In his own words, he’s charting “a venturesome course.”

Season 4 draws inspiration from Julia Quinn’s third book in the series, An Offer from a Gentleman. Thompson said, “We’ve experienced Benedict through the seasons as a little theme that crops up occasionally now and again. To get to spend a full eight episodes digging into him and making a whole symphony about him, it’s great.”

The trailer shows Benedict meeting Sophie at a grand masquerade ball hosted by their mother, Lady Violet Bridgerton (Ruth Gemmell). The moment is magical, with Sophie wearing a silver mask and catching Benedict’s full attention.

Showrunner Jess Brownell described the scene, saying, “You feel like you’re in a dream space, and it really plays into our theme this season of fantasy versus reality. This is a moment where you are meant to feel like you’re in a fantasy. It really launches that journey for us.”

However, their romance won’t be simple. Sophie’s true identity is hidden, and Benedict embarks on a search to uncover who she really is. The trailer teases, “Behind the cover of a mask, anything can happen.” Ha, who plays Sophie, added, “If you are in love with the person at the core of who they are, then that should be all that matters, right?”

Season 4 also promises to be the steamiest yet. Fans will see other characters’ lives heat up as well. Francesca Bridgerton (Hannah Dodd) and her husband John (Victor Alli) return from their honeymoon, Penelope and Colin are closer than ever, and Lady Violet manages more than just her children’s social plans. New cast members joining the series include Katie Leung, Michelle Mao, and Isabella Wei.
