At the San Diego Comic-Con panel for the 20th anniversary, Nickelodeon revealed the first images from Seven Havens. The show introduces a new Avatar named Pavi, who is an Earthbender, and her mentor, Jae. And of course, there’s a cute animal sidekick, just like in the original series.

Seven Havens will be a 26-episode, 2D animated TV show. It takes place after a huge disaster that tore apart the world, causing chaos between the spirit and mortal realms. Because of this, people have started to distrust the Avatar and what they stand for.

The survivors have gathered into seven safe places, called “havens.” One of these havens is a city named Aurora, which fans can see in the official images released by Nickelodeon.

We don’t yet know what caused the disaster or why people have turned against the Avatar, but the story will follow Pavi and Jae as they travel through this troubled world.

The series will be split into two parts, or “books,” each with 13 episodes. There’s no release date yet, but it’s expected after the next Avatar movie, The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender, which is set to hit theaters on October 9, 2026.

Nickelodeon and Avatar Studios also confirmed that Seven Havens takes place after The Legend of Korra and will focus on Korra’s successor as the new Avatar. Interestingly, Pavi has a long-lost twin sibling who joins her on the journey.

The series is created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, the original creators of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Ethan Spaulding and Sehaj Sethi are executive producers.

The new show will have 26 half-hour episodes across two seasons and is set to debut in 2027. Fans have a lot to look forward to as the Avatar saga continues to grow.

This update came from the 20th anniversary panel at San Diego Comic-Con and official announcements from Nickelodeon and Avatar Studios.
