First Look at ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Chrome Alone 2’ — The Heroes in a Half Shell Return for a New Adventure!
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back for another wild ride in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Chrome Alone 2 – Lost in New Jersey, a new animated short set after the events of Mutant Mayhem. Variety has just shared new images from the film, giving fans a first look at the Turtles’ latest adventure.

This new short follows Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael as they deal with the chaos that comes with fame. When a suspicious toy company starts cashing in on their popularity, the brothers set out for New Jersey to uncover the truth. What begins as a simple mission turns into a strange and action-packed journey full of surprises.
The film is directed by Kent Seki, who previously worked as head of cinematography on Mutant Mayhem.
The script was written by Andrew Joustra, who was also part of the creative team behind the 2023 movie. It’s produced by Mutant Mayhem director Jeff Rowe, alongside Ramsay McBean and Point Grey Pictures’ Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver.
Chrome Alone 2: Lost in New Jersey first premiered at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival on June 10. Audiences at the festival got an early look at the short, which is set to officially hit theaters on December 19. It will play ahead of The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants, giving fans a double feature of animation favorites.
Set in the same world as Mutant Mayhem, the short continues the fresh and energetic tone that made the 2023 film such a hit. With the creative team returning and new visuals revealed by Variety, Chrome Alone 2: Lost in New Jersey is shaping up to be another fun outing for the Turtles.
It’s exciting to see the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe expanding with more stories that mix humor, heart, and adventure. If the first images are any sign, this short looks like it’ll be a blast. What do you think about the Turtles’ return? Share your thoughts in the comments.
