First Look: ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ Season 3 Trailer Teases 2026 Return
Jujutsu Kaisen is finally giving fans a taste of what’s next. During a special event in Japan celebrating the anime’s fifth anniversary, the first trailer for Season 3 was released, giving a preview of the highly anticipated Culling Game arc.

The anime, produced by studio MAPPA, has become one of the most popular shows of recent years. Season 2 pushed the series to new heights with its action and animation, and now Season 3 looks ready to continue that momentum.
This time, the focus will be on the deadly Culling Game, a brutal tournament that throws Yuji Itadori and the surviving Jujutsu Sorcerers into dangerous new battles.
According to the announcement, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: The Culling Game Part 1 will premiere in January 2026.
The story will pick up after the chaos of the Shibuya arc, where the fake Suguru Geto unleashed cursed spirits that caused massive destruction. Because of that, many new fighters have awakened powers of their own, which means Yuji and his allies will face plenty of fresh enemies.
The Culling Game arc will not only bring back familiar characters like Yuta Okkotsu, who first appeared in the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 prequel film, but will also introduce many new faces. These fighters will be part of the twisted game that forces sorcerers into deadly clashes, raising the stakes for everyone involved.
Fans have been waiting a long time for this return, especially since the Jujutsu Kaisen manga by Gege Akutami officially ended last year in Weekly Shonen Jump.
That conclusion left anime viewers even more eager for fresh material, and Season 3 is the first new chapter in the franchise since the manga’s finale. With the Culling Game marking the beginning of a long stretch of major battles, many believe this arc will set the stage for the series’ endgame.
Season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen will officially begin in January 2026, and fans are already counting the days.
