Johnny Knoxville is taking on a new challenge, but this time he won’t be doing the stunts himself. The Jackass star is set to host Fox’s revival of the stunt-based game show Fear Factor, and the network has released the first look at the new season.

The show, now called Fear Factor: The Next Chapter, will put contestants in a remote and challenging environment where they must face extreme stunts, tricky challenges, and social strategy tests.

The official description explains that participants will live together while dealing with gross eating tasks, dangerous animals, fire challenges, heights, and other intense obstacles. The goal is to overcome their fears and win the grand prize, but only one contestant can come out on top.

Fear Factor: The Next Chapter is set to premiere in January, and the teaser video already gives a sense of the high-stakes action and shocking moments contestants will face. Knoxville will bring his signature humor and energy to the show as host, guiding participants through each terrifying challenge.

Knoxville is best known for his work on the Jackass franchise as both a star and producer. He has recently appeared in Apple TV’s comedy The Studio and the film The Luckiest Man in America. He also has TV credits including The Prank Panel, Hulu’s Reboot, History of the World: Part Two, Agent Elvis, and Ridiculousness.

The original Fear Factor aired on NBC from 2001 to 2006 with Joe Rogan as host. It returned briefly in 2011 on the same network and was later revived by MTV in 2017. This new version promises to bring fresh stunts, modern twists, and a new level of intensity to the series.
