Taylor Kitsch, Chris Pratt, and Tom Hopper Lead the Fight in Explosive First Trailer for ‘The Terminal List: Dark Wolf’

The Terminal List: Dark Wolf is getting ready to storm onto Prime Video, and the first trailer has just been released. Amazon dropped the footage, and it gives a gritty look at what fans can expect when the action-packed series premieres on August 27 with its first three episodes.
This new show is a prequel to The Terminal List and focuses on Ben Edwards, played by Taylor Kitsch. In this origin story, we see how Edwards went from being a Navy SEAL to working deep inside the CIA’s black ops world. It’s a personal story, one that dives into the cost of war and the weight carried by those who fight in the shadows.
The trailer starts with a serious tone. A voice says, “When we step on that battlefield, we fight for each other.” There’s tension, danger, and brotherhood in every frame. Later in the trailer, another voice adds, “I need two shooters for a time sensitive op. I’m offering you a chance to finish what you started, and to keep your brothers from danger.” Then it closes with the line, “The only way out is right through it.” That one lands hard.
Chris Pratt returns as James Reece, the character he played in the original series. This time, though, Reece is supporting the story, while Edwards takes the lead. The show follows his journey into the hidden and brutal side of special operations, where decisions don’t come easy and survival comes at a cost.
Joining the cast is Tom Hopper as Raife Hastings. The rest of the cast includes Robert Wisdom, Luke Hemsworth, Dar Salim, Rona-Lee Shimon, Shiraz Tzarfati, and Jared Shaw. Shaw, who plays Boozer Vickers, is also a former Navy SEAL and serves as a technical advisor on the show.
The series was created by David DiGilio, who also runs the show, and Jack Carr, the writer of The Terminal List book. Kitsch and Pratt are both executive producers, along with Carr, DiGilio, Antoine Fuqua, Kat Samick, Max Adams, and Jared Shaw.
Frederick E.O. Toye, who recently directed the award-winning Shōgun, handled the first episode. The show is being made by Amazon MGM Studios with help from MRC and Civic Center Media.
The Terminal List: Dark Wolf launches August 27, 2025, only on Prime Video. With a story full of high-stakes missions, deep loyalties, and personal struggles, this one looks like it’s coming in fast and hitting hard.
