Popular PlayStation exclusive Uncharted that released four main games and one spin-off game will soon get a first movie adaptation with Spider-Man star Tom Holland in the role of the adventurer Nathan Drake.
Created by Amy Hennig and developed by Naughty Dog, the Uncharted video game series started in 2007 with the original game Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune released exclusively on PlayStation 3, it was followed by two sequels on PS3. Drake’s story was concluded in the fourth installment A Thief’s End in 2016 on PS4. A spin-off game The Lost Legacy centered around the character Chloe Frazer was released in 2017.
Now, we’ll get a story about the young Nathan Drake played by Tom Holland in this first movie adaptation. Check out the official trailer:
This isn’t the only live-action adaptation of video game series developed by Naughty Dog. TV show adaptation of The Last of Us is also in production for HBO.
Directed by Ruben Fleischer, the movie stars Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg, Sophia Taylor Ali, Tati Gabrielle, and Antonio Banderas.
Uncharted will be released on February 18, 2022.
