First Trailer Released for ‘The Map That Leads to You’ Starring Madelyn Cline and KJ Apa
Fans of romantic movies have something new to look forward to. The official trailer for The Map That Leads to You is finally out. The film stars Madelyn Cline and KJ Apa and will be available to stream on Prime Video starting August 20, 2025. According to Amazon MGM Studios, the movie is based on the novel by J.P. Monninger and is directed by Lasse Hallström.
In the film, Madelyn Cline plays Heather Mulgrew. Heather is a young woman on vacation in Europe after finishing college. During her trip, she meets Jack, a charming stranger played by KJ Apa. What starts as a random meeting quickly turns into a romantic journey as the two travel together and build a deep connection. Amazon MGM Studios describes the story as “a romantic adventure about love and choices that can change your life.”
Other actors appearing in the movie include Sofia Wylie, Madison Thompson, Orlando Norman, Josh Lucas, Eva García Montiel, and Giuseppe Schillaci, who plays Marco. Madison Thompson takes on the role of Heather’s friend, Amy.
Lasse Hallström is the director of the movie. He has worked on other romance films like Dear John. The script for The Map That Leads to You was written by Les Bohem and Vera Herbert. Music for the film was created by composer Sarah Trevino. Temple Hill Entertainment worked with Amazon MGM Studios to produce the movie. Producers include Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, Isaac Klausner, and John Fischer.
Filming for the movie happened in Terrassa, Spain during 2024, as shared by Amazon MGM Studios. The European setting gives the film its romantic and adventurous atmosphere.
The newly released trailer gives fans their first look at the movie’s story and the chemistry between Heather and Jack. The trailer shows the beautiful locations in Europe and gives hints about the romance and drama in the film. It also shows scenes where Heather has to make big choices about her future.
The Map That Leads to You is planned to release on August 20, 2025. According to Amazon MGM Studios, it will be available only on Prime Video.
