Florence Pugh and Finn Cole Step Out Hand in Hand After Their Big Red Carpet Debut
Florence Pugh has always been careful about how much of her private life she shares. Her romance with actor Finn Cole, best known for playing Michael Gray in ‘Peaky Blinders’, has unfolded in small, quiet steps rather than splashy announcements.
The pair were first linked in the summer of 2024 after being spotted together at Glastonbury. That October, Pugh confirmed to British Vogue that she was seeing someone without naming him, and in March 2026 she finally went Instagram official with photos of Cole from the Bulgari Eclettica event in Milan.
This week, the couple took another big step into the spotlight. Pugh and Cole were photographed holding hands as they left a London venue, with Pugh in a sparkling silver gown with a corset top and Cole in a sharp dark suit, white shirt and black tie.
The outing followed their official red carpet debut as a couple at the world premiere of ‘In the Shadows’ during the 70th BFI London Film Festival on Friday, October 9. The film stars Cole alongside Jasmine Jobson and tells the story of Britain’s first female Muslim boxing champion.
Pugh’s look for the night came from Wiederhoeft’s Spring 2027 collection, styled by Rebecca Corbin-Murray. The lavender-and-silver corset paired with a shimmering skirt quickly became one of the festival’s most talked-about outfits.

Florence Pugh and Finn Cole, known for his role as Michael Gray in Peaky Blinders, have been dating since mid-2024, going public with an Instagram post in March 2026 after initial sightings at Glastonbury. Pugh recently described their low-key relationship in a Vanity Fair interview as “solid and safe and sturdy,” noting they prefer privacy while confirming they are happy together.

The public appearances come shortly after Pugh opened up about the relationship in rare detail. In a Vanity Fair cover story published on September 25, she explained that she doesn’t want the romance to be a secret, but she also doesn’t want every part of it put on display.
She also described feeling stable, secure, and grounded with Cole, adding that this sense of security is incredibly valuable in their lives. When asked about the origins of the romance, she playfully declined to share everything.
Pugh even revealed a sweet moment from before the interview. She told the magazine she had wondered aloud whether Cole would come up, and he jokingly offered to stop by in person.

Their relationship has clearly been building quietly over time. Cole attended the premiere of Pugh’s Marvel film ‘Thunderbolts*’ in 2025, and the pair later sparked buzz with a playful exchange on Instagram.
The London premiere marked their first official public appearance as a couple, and the hand-in-hand photos suggest they’re growing more comfortable being seen together. Just a week earlier, they were also spotted enjoying a day out in New York City.
Pugh has plenty keeping her busy professionally. She stars as Cathy Ames in Netflix’s adaptation of ‘East of Eden’, which she also produces, and she recently became a Bulgari ambassador. She is also set to appear in 2 major blockbusters hitting around Christmas. Pugh returns as Yelena Belova in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and plays Princess Irulan in ‘Dune: Part Three’.
Her full Vanity Fair cover story is set to hit newsstands on October 13. With a packed slate and a relationship she seems happy to share on her own terms, it’s shaping up to be a memorable year for the actress.
