Florence Pugh made a big return to the red carpet this week at the London premiere of a new stage version of Dracula in the West End.

The play is a one-woman show starring Cynthia Erivo and directed by Kip Williams. The performance asks Erivo to play 23 characters and deliver a very long monologue. Observers described the show as a bold and addictive new take on the famous vampire story. The opening night took place at the Noel Coward Theatre and attracted many well-known guests.

Pugh attended to support Erivo and marked the end of a long break from red carpet events. She wore a gothic-style dress from Patou that matched the dark theme of the night. The appearance stood out because she had stayed away from public events for months.

She previously spoke about why she stepped back from work for a while. She said, I suddenly woke up last year and I was like, ‘I hate how much of my life I’ve missed.’ Her break did not slow down her career plans. She already has a full schedule of major projects coming soon.

Pugh will return as Princess Irulan in Dune: Part Three, directed by Denis Villeneuve. The movie will reunite her with Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya, and it will also include Robert Pattinson. She is also expected to appear as Yelena Belova in Avengers: Doomsday.

Her work in television is growing as well. She has a lead role in a Netflix series based on East of Eden, where she will play Cathy Ames. Another upcoming project is the thriller The Pack, which also shows her work as a producer.

The opening night crowd included stars like Lashana Lynch and Jeff Goldblum. The event became one of the most talked-about theatre nights in London this season.

Pugh’s appearance showed strong support for live theatre and reminded fans of her connection to the British stage scene. The event also highlighted the excitement around the new Dracula production, which is expected to run through May.
