Florence Pugh has had a remarkably busy few weeks, from the ‘East of Eden’ press tour to striking magazine covers. In the middle of all that, the actress is also gearing up to return as Yelena Belova in Marvel’s ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. Now, a playful new Florence Pugh ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ photo is giving fans a fun reminder that Yelena is coming back very soon.

The snapshot ties into one of the film’s quirkier marketing partnerships. Walkers Snacks, the PepsiCo-owned brand, has teamed up with Marvel Studios for an on-pack promotion supporting the movie’s release.

On October 2, Cosmic Marvel shared a newly posted photo of Pugh holding up a bright yellow bag of Quavers emblazoned with Yelena’s face. The packaging shows her character in her green tactical gear alongside ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ branding and the reminder that the film is coming only to cinemas.

Pugh hams it up for the camera, peeking over the top of the bag with wide eyes and a cheeky expression. The background hints at a studio or event space, complete with screens and green lighting. Fans clearly loved the moment, with the post quickly gathering thousands of likes. It’s a charming break from the actress’ glamorous red carpet appearances.

The promotion has been rolling out across UK shelves since September. Limited-edition Avengers-themed packaging appears across selected multipacks and sharing bags of Wotsits, Quavers, Monster Munch, and Squares.

The designs span a huge range of characters. Walkers Snacks marketing manager Gemma Lancaster explained that the packaging features figures from The Avengers, The New Avengers, The Fantastic Four, The X-Men, and The Wakandans. Packs feature characters including Captain America, the Invisible Woman, and Doctor Doom.

A promotional banner for the campaign also shows Captain America, Thor, Yelena Belova, and Doctor Doom looming over the tagline “Assemble Your Snacks.” There’s even a limited-edition launch of Doctor Doom-themed 120g sharing bags.

The tie-in comes with plenty of incentives for fans. Shoppers can scan a QR code on promotional packs, sign in or register on PepsiCo’s JOY platform, and enter an on-pack code for a chance to win.

The prize pool is substantial. It includes Hasbro Marvel merchandise, snack clips, and 2,440 pairs of Vue cinema tickets, which can be won every hour. Top-tier winners can even score a family trip to Tokyo. The promotion runs until December 31, with a wrap-up prize draw scheduled from January 1 to February 28, 2027.

Walkers designed the campaign around the spooky season. According to Lancaster, pop culture increasingly influences how people celebrate Halloween, with superhero-inspired costumes creating an opportunity for savoury snacks to play a bigger role.

The brand plans to support the promotion with in-store activity around Halloween, followed by cinema marketing during November and December. That builds anticipation right up to the film’s UK release on December 16, ahead of its December 18 U.S. debut.

For Pugh, the snack bag is just a fun teaser for what’s to come. Yelena has become a fan favorite, and seeing her front and center on supermarket shelves shows how central she is to Marvel’s marketing push. With Pugh juggling ‘East of Eden’ and Marvel promotion at the same time, it’s clear she’s one of Hollywood’s busiest stars right now, and she’s having plenty of fun along the way.
