Rumors linking soccer star Christian Pulisic to Hollywood actress Sydney Sweeney are spreading fast online, even though there is no proof that the two are actually dating.

The Italian newspaper explained how the talk started and why it became so popular so quickly. “The rumour actually started in Italy but has crossed the ocean. Beginning with the Instagram page DNA Bomber, it triggered a wave of comments, reactions and memes, quickly becoming viral on social media. Confirmation? None at the moment, but the story is getting people talking,” the outlet wrote.

The buzz comes after reports earlier this year that Sweeney has received a lot of attention from famous athletes. SunSport previously reported that the actress had been flooded with messages from Premier League players, including stars linked to Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal.
According to a source quoted by The Sun, Sweeney chose not to engage with them. “They offer her trips to Europe to see them and take her on a date, but she’s not the kind of person who does that,” the source said.
Sweeney recently ended her engagement to producer Jonathan Davino, whom she had been with since 2018. Their split earlier this year has only added fuel to dating rumors. Since then, she has reportedly been dating casually in the United States.
