Frankie Muniz Sneaks Away from Family in Hilarious ‘Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair’ Trailer
Hulu has dropped the official trailer for Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair, giving fans a first look at Frankie Muniz reprising his iconic role as Malcolm. In the new series, Malcolm has been keeping his distance from his chaotic family for years, enjoying a life on his own terms.
In the trailer, Muniz’s character explains that life has been going well since cutting off ties with his family, but a big event forces him back into the fold. Malcolm is pulled into a reunion for his parents’ 40th anniversary, thanks to his teenage daughter Leah, played by Keeley Karsten, and the encouragement of his girlfriend, Tristan, played by Kiana Madeira.
The revival brings back many familiar faces. Bryan Cranston returns as Hal, Jane Kaczmarek is back as Lois, Christopher Kennedy Masterson reprises Francis, Justin Berfield returns as Reese, and Emy Coligado plays Piama again. Dewey is now played by Caleb Ellsworth-Clark, taking over from Erik Per Sullivan. Vaughan Murrae joins the cast as Malcolm’s youngest sibling, Kelly.

I’ve been curious to see how Malcolm has grown up, and this revival looks like it brings the same humor and heart we loved before, Muniz said in a statement.
