This season picks up after the events of The Boys Season 4, and things are not looking good for Marie Moreau and her friends. After going through tough times, they return to Godolkin University where a new dean, played by Hamish Linklater, is now in charge.

He’s training Supes to become soldiers, with a war between humans and Supes getting closer. But things might change when the team discovers a mysterious program that could shift the balance.

The new season will see the return of the main cast, including Jaz Sinclair as Marie, Lizze Broadway as Emma, Maddie Phillips as Cate, London Thor and Derek Luh as Jordan, and Asa Germann as Sam.

Hamish Linklater joins them as Dean Cipher. The season will also feature appearances from characters like Polarity, The Deep, and Firecracker. Some new faces are also joining, with actors like Keeya King and Zach McGowan confirmed to appear.

Sadly, Chance Perdomo, who played Andre Anderson, will not return. His character won’t be recast after Perdomo’s passing in March 2024.

According to Amazon Prime Video, production had to pause after his death, but filming finally started in May 2024 and wrapped in October of the same year.

Fans can expect the first three episodes of the season to drop on September 17, with new episodes coming weekly until the finale on October 22. Showrunner Michele Fazekas leads the new season, after working alongside Tara Butters in the past.

Eric Kripke, the creator of The Boys, has said that Gen V Season 2 will show fans “the first glimpse into the new world that was created at the end of S4.”

With the new poster out and the release date confirmed, fans now have a clearer look at what’s next for Godolkin’s Supes. The wait is almost over.
