George Clooney Reveals Why He’s Never Had a Fight with His Wife Amal

George Clooney recently shared what keeps his marriage to Amal Clooney strong and peaceful. In a new interview with CBS News’ Seth Doane, the actor said that he and Amal have never had a fight, not even once.

He laughed about how people never believe him when he says that. “Everybody gets ticked off when I say it — but we’ve never had a fight. We never had an argument,” George explained.

According to him, it all comes down to not sweating the small stuff. “When you’re younger, you want to be right about everything, you know. ‘Don’t paint that color on the wall,’” he said. But now, he sees things differently. “If she wants to paint the wall red, I don’t care,” he added.

George shared that he’s at a stage in life where arguing just doesn’t make sense anymore. “You get to a point where you go, ‘Why would that be a discussion or an argument?’ We have a really amazing relationship because we’re so supportive of each other that it’s like, I don’t care,” he said.

He admitted it might not have been the same years ago. “I think I would have found things to, you know, stick my chest out about that I can go now, ‘It doesn’t matter, I don’t care,’” he said.

George and Amal Clooney, who married in 2014, are known for keeping their relationship private. But this rare glimpse into their marriage shows that for them, kindness and understanding matter more than being right.
