Will Girl Boba Fett Appear in The Book of Boba Fett?

Girl Boba Fett

Everyone knows from Attack of the Clones there’s one unaltered clone of Jango Fett: Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison). What The Bad Batch presupposes is… maybe there’s another? A girl Boba Fett? (Just run with the female clone idea, people). She’s known as Omega. Will this mean anything for The Book of Boba Fett

Here’s what we know about Omega, AKA girl Boba Fett. She’s part of The Bad Batch, which explains what happens to the clones post-Order 66, and lays the groundwork for everything from The Mandalorian to the original series to cloning the Emperor to introducing Grand Admiral Thrawn in a live-action appearance. Girl Boba Fett is kind of an animated, blonde, child Boba Fett with a heavy New Zealand accent, and lawful good, unlike her clone, regular Boba Fett, who’s a crime boss driven by revenge even in his preteen years. They grow up so fast! (But not Boba Fett because he doesn’t have the accelerated aging of clone troopers oh dear God but it’s Star Wars run with it).

Girl Boba Fett
Omega, or Girl Boba Fett

Omega (Girl Boba Fett) spends her time keeping the rest of the Bad Batch in line (they sort of swing chaotic good), providing a moral center in an increasingly mercenary galaxy where their purpose has been erased by the obsolescence of the Republic. She’s also apparently childhood BFFs with Hera Syndulla, the fan-fav from Star Wars: Rebels, the Alphabet Squadron books, and probably everything else moving forward (they page her in Rogue One, in case you missed it, and presumably she’s in Rise of Skywalker, because her ship, the Ghost, appears behind the Millennium Falcon).

So what’s this mean for The Book of Boba Fett? Will Girl Boba Fett appear to keep her now-running-Jabba’s-old-crime-syndicate brother in line? Will this conflict with Boba Fett’s already awesome female partner in literal crime, Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen)? This could be a great opportunity to highlight a Maori actress to play alongside the already-legendary Morrison and Wen, who are, respectively, Aquaman’s dad and Mulan.

Either way, Girl Boba Fett will play some sort of role moving forward in the Star Wars universe. Will she pop up in The Book of Boba Fett? We’ll see soon.
