Girls’ Frontline Anime: Release Date, Trailer, And Poster Revealed

Mobile RPG game Girls’ Frontline will soon get its third anime adaptation.
Girls’ Frontline is a mobile RPG game that first appeared in 2016 in China. Manga based on the game, published by Ichijinsha, started in July 2019, and the first anime – Girls’ Frontline: Healing Chapter – premiered in October of the same year. That first anime concluded in December 2019, and the second anime – Girls’ Frontline: Madness Chapter – premiered the same month and concluded in March 2020. Both of those anime consisted of 12 episodes each.
The game’s story is set in 2062, the time where the human race is almost extinguished, and the so-called T-Dolls are used for combat, and where the artificial intelligence rebels against their human masters.
A third anime, written by Hideyuki Kurata and directed by Shigeru Ueda, will premiere in January 2022. Here’s the official trailer:

This new anime will be made by Asahi Production and developed by Warner Bros. Japan.
