Godzilla and King Kong Face Fierce New Monsters in ‘Monarch’ Season 2 Teaser
The Monsterverse is about to get even bigger when Monarch: Legacy of Monsters returns for its second season on Apple TV.
A new teaser hints at a terrifying addition to the lineup: a mysterious creature called Titan X, whose arrival is already sending shockwaves through the series’ world. Even Godzilla and King Kong might have reason to be concerned.
King Kong joins the cast of monsters this season, though he is no stranger to the Monsterverse. Titan X, however, is an entirely new threat. Apple provided some details in a press release, building anticipation without giving too much away.

“In addition to Kong, season two will feature Godzilla and introduce a new Titan: the enigmatic Titan X, now officially on the loose. Titan X isn’t just another monster; it’s a living cataclysm. When its massive bioluminescent form breaks the surface of the ocean, the world seems to hold its breath,” the statement read.
“In Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season two, Titan X stands at the center of the mystery—an ancient force emerging from the deep, its purpose uncertain, its power unmatched, its awe and terror in equal measure.”
The returning cast includes Kurt and Wyatt Russell as Army officer Lee Shaw at different ages, along with Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Joe Tippett, and Anders Holm. Guest stars include Takehiro Hira, Amber Midthunder, Curtiss Cook, Cliff Curtis, Dominique Tipper, and Camilo Jiménez Varón.
Season two promises high stakes. “Season two will pick up with the fate of Monarch—and the world—hanging in the balance. The dramatic saga reveals buried secrets that reunite our heroes (and villains) on Kong’s Skull Island, and a new, mysterious village where a mythical Titan rises from the sea. The ripple effects of the past make waves in the present day, blurring the bonds between family, friend and foe—all with the threat of a titan event on the horizon,” Apple said.
The new season will start on February 27, with episodes released weekly across the 10-episode run on Apple TV. Fans will have plenty of time to see how Titan X shakes up the Monsterverse and what happens when old allies and new monsters collide.
The introduction of Titan X looks like it could bring a whole new level of chaos and excitement to the series. I’m curious to see how the established monsters react to this new threat. What do you think Titan X will do to Godzilla and King Kong? Share your thoughts in the comments.
