Golden Age Wonder Woman Will Be Added To The Injustice 2 Mobile Roster

Believe in Wonder! On October 21, Wonder Woman will celebrate her 80th birthday! Yep, 8 decades since she appeared on the comic book pages for the first time. And although it’s her birthday, her fans, particularly players of the Injustice 2 Mobile game, will get a present.

Developers of the Injustice 2 Mobile game today announced on their Twitter account that a new character will be added to the roster in the next update – Classic Wonder Woman, inspired by the original design of the character that was present during the golden age of comic books. We can see the design and a bit of gameplay in the video they posted.

The game is already featuring two Classic heroes – Classic Batman and Classic Superman, so with this next update, the trinity will be completed. The game also has several versions of Wonder Woman, including Mythic Wonder Woman (inspired by Gal Gadot’s incarnation of the character from the 2017 movie) and Golden Armor Wonder Woman (inspired by the golden armor outfit Gadot wore in the sequel WW84).

Created by William Moulton Marston, Wonder Woman first appeared in All Star Comics #8 in October 1941. In almost 80 years of her existence, Wonder Woman became the most popular female comic book character and the cultural icon.

If you’re interested in how the character was originally created, we can recommend you the movie Professor Marston and the Wonder Women, starring Luke Evans as William Moulton Marston.
