Forty days before the release of one of the most anticipated movies of the year – Spider-Man: No Way Home – fans are still waiting for the second trailer and the official release of the poster. Sony, what is taking so long?

Sony previously released a fantastic teaser trailer, and while we are waiting for the second trailer, now we have a poster on which fans noticed one particular thing – first look at Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin.

Willem Dafoe played Norman Osborn/Green Goblin, a notorious Spider-Man villain in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man back in 2002. As we all know, Goblin didn’t survive the final battle with Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man. Dafoe later showed up in the sequel as the reflection in the mirror, telling his son, James Franco’s Harry, to avenge him.

Now, almost two decades later, Dafoe is back on the glider. His return was long speculated among the fans ever since Alfred Molina confirmed his return as Doc Ock from Spider-Man 2. Sony even gave us a good tease in the trailer, showing us only Goblin’s pumpkin grenade. Not long after the trailer’s release, Dafoe’s return was confirmed.

It is unknown how will No Way Home handle all these big returns, especially considering that both Goblin and Doc Ock died at the end of their respective movies. But with the reported runtime of 2 hours and 39 minutes, there’s surely a lot that this movie will show us.

Tom Holland is returning as MCU’s Peter Parker/Spider-Man in this third solo movie and his sixth MCU appearance in general. Benedict Cumberbatch also returns as Doctor Strange ahead of his own sequel that will be released in May 2022. Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, Marisa Tomei, J. B. Smoove, and Benedict Wong also star. Alfred Molina and Jamie Foxx will make their big returns as Doc Ock and Electro from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2 and Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2, respectively.
