Green Lantern: Upcoming HBOMax Show Will Reportedly Have A Darker Tone
Green Lantern TV show has been in development for quite a while. Although still not much is known at the time, new report is saying that the show will have a darker tone, like the Watchmen show that aired on HBO in 2019.
Report from The Illuminerdi is saying:
“According to our sources the Green Lantern series on HBO Max may be a bit darker than first imagined. It will apparently be akin to the Watchmen event series in tone.”
Although this isn’t saying much at the moment, the darker tone might have a big impact on the show’s storylines. DC fans are mostly huge fans of darker tones so this part could bring up the excitement for the show.

HBO show Watchmen debuted in 2019 with its 9-episode first season. Soon after the finale, it was announced that season 2 won’t happen, which essentially made Watchmen a mini-series.
Green Lantern TV show was officially greenlighted by HBOMax last year. So far, only two actors were confirmed; Finn Wittrock and Jeremy Irvine. It is not known when the show will start production, let alone when it’s gonna debut on HBOMax.
