James Gunn has made it clear he’s a huge fan of Big Brother, and now he’s even open to bringing some of his favorite players into the DC Universe.

The co-head of DC Studios recently appeared on Big Brother: Unlocked as a guest panelist to talk about the current season.

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Gunn was asked if he could follow in the footsteps of Mike White, the Survivor alum who blended reality TV with scripted work in his series The White Lotus.

Gunn admitted that the idea isn’t far-fetched. “I’ve become very friendly with [winners] Taylor [Hale] and Derrick [Levasseur],” he told EW. “And so if they want a cameo in a DC project in the future — not necessarily with dialogue, but if they want to come by and do what other people have been doing in my movies for so long, they’re more than welcome to do that.”

While he’s not looking to give Big Brother stars full roles from the DC comics, Gunn is happy to give them small appearances. The idea itself actually came up on the show, when the host suggested that Gunn should sneak in a cameo from former players.

“I would be tickled pink if the DCU had a wink and a nod to the BBU with a cameo of Taylor,” the host said. “Or have a scene on a Hollywood lot and you see Zingbot on a coffee break holding the head part of his costume while yucking it up with the Mastermind and Jankie.”

It seems Gunn, who has often filled his movies with fun cameos and surprise appearances, may now be thinking about extending that same treatment to Big Brother favorites.
