Halle Berry is making it very clear that she has no intention of fading into the background as she approaches a new decade of her life. The Oscar winner recently posed for a striking cover feature for The Cut, published on February 2, where she showcased her comfort with bold fashion and her refusal to be defined by age.

In the widely shared editorial photos, she is seen wearing a completely sheer, floor-length robe adorned with a feathered stole, a look that captured the weightless and ethereal energy she currently feels in her personal life.

Having recently turned 59, Berry shared with the publication that she is determined not to allow herself to be erased by an industry that often marginalizes women as they get older. She noted that while society may try to devalue women of a certain age, she has decided to be louder than I have ever been.

A major part of this new chapter involves her “menopause mission,” as she works to break the stigmas surrounding women’s health. Berry explained that fighting for these causes feels like a formidable cause for this stage of her life.

She also touched on her long-standing relationship with musician Van Hunt, describing it as the best relationship I have ever had. While the couple has been together for nearly six years and Hunt has already proposed, Berry clarified that they aren’t rushing to the altar, noting that they don’t need a marriage to validate their love.

As of February, Halle Berry’s career is as active as ever, with a packed slate of projects that show no signs of slowing down. Her highly anticipated heist thriller, Crime 101, is set to arrive in theaters on February 13.

Directed by Bart Layton and based on a Don Winslow novella, the film features an all-star cast including Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, and Barry Keoghan. Berry plays Sharon Colvin, a middle-aged insurance broker who uses her wit and beauty to navigate high-stakes deals with billionaires.

Beyond her work on Crime 101, Berry is preparing to start production on the drama Fleur in Paris this spring. In this project, she will play a housewife who flees a thirty-year marriage to reinvent herself in the French capital.

She is also heavily involved in her production company, HalleHolly, which currently has around ten different projects in development. This includes a gender-swapped adaptation of The President Is Missing, where she will star as President Joanna Duncan, and a psychological thriller titled The Process.

Berry has also been busy in the wellness space, continuing to grow her community, Respin, which focuses on female longevity and health. She recently made headlines for her public advocacy regarding menopause funding, proving that her commitment to women’s health extends far beyond just interviews.

Do you think Halle Berry’s “menopause mission” and her focus on women’s health will pave the way for more honest conversations about aging in Hollywood? Share your thoughts in the comments.
