‘Harry Potter’ Actress Snubbed from Harry Potter Convention Over OnlyFans Content
Harry Potter actress Jessie Cave has revealed that she was turned away from a recent fan convention because of her OnlyFans account.
Cave, who portrayed Lavender Brown in the final three Harry Potter films, shared the news in a Substack post.
The 38-year-old said she discovered she wouldn’t be booked for a convention after she launched an OnlyFans page in March, which focuses on hair content.
“They explained it was because it’s a ‘family show and OnlyFans is affiliated with porn.’ This was baffling to me as some actors who do conventions have done TV and films with sex scenes and nudity. I’m just playing with my hair!” she wrote on September 17.
Despite the setback, Cave said she isn’t upset about missing future Harry Potter events. She added that she’s ready to step aside for the new cast of HBO’s upcoming series, including Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown.
“There’s going to be a new cast now, and it’s a different time. Plus, I have done conventions for over 15 years and have enough photos and wizard memorabilia,” she explained.
Cave also reflected on why she started her OnlyFans page. She noticed that fans often commented on her hair online and decided to explore the interest in a creative, niche way.
“I just noticed that I always just get comments. They’re never, like, sexually depraved or lascivious. It’s never dirty comments, but I do get lots of interest in the hair thing,” she said on her podcast Before We Break Up Again.
In her Substack, she added that the project was about self-empowerment and self-love. “My aim? To get out of debt. My aim? To empower myself? To prove to those in the past who have misjudged me that I’m not so sweet? To put time into something I never invested in before: self-love.”
This incident has sparked discussion about the balance between fan conventions, family-friendly content, and personal creative projects. Jessie Cave remains proud of her work on OnlyFans and is moving forward with her career.
