HBO Max Is Raising Its Prices Again
HBO Max is increasing its subscription prices again, just a year after the last hike, Warner Bros. Discovery announced Tuesday.
The price changes will affect both monthly and annual plans, taking effect starting October 21.
Under the new pricing, the Basic plan with ads will go up by $1 per month, reaching $10.99, while the annual plan increases by $10 to $109.99.
The Standard plan will see a $1.50 monthly rise, making it $18.49, and the yearly subscription will go up $15 to $184.99. The Premium plan will increase by $2 per month, totaling $22.99, with the annual plan rising $20 to $229.99.
“Existing monthly subscribers will be notified 30 days in advance of their plan renewing and see price increases starting from their next billing date on or after Nov. 20, 2025,” the company said. Annual subscribers will not see the change until their plan is up for renewal and will also be notified 30 days ahead of time.
This marks another increase for HBO Max as the streaming service adjusts its pricing to match the growing demand for content and services. For many users, this means planning for slightly higher costs in the months ahead.
Price increases are always tough for subscribers, especially when they happen year after year. It will be interesting to see if this affects how many people continue their subscriptions or look for alternatives. Do you plan to stick with HBO Max despite the price hike?
