Henry Cavill has been spotted filming the upcoming reboot of Highlander in London, and new set photos are giving fans a closer look at his version of Connor MacLeod. The images, shared by @UnBoxPHD, show the actor fully in character during production.

Cavill is taking on the role after moving on from major parts like Superman and Geralt of Rivia, and there is strong interest in how he will handle the iconic character.

The story follows an immortal warrior who has lived for centuries and faces others like him in deadly battles. The core idea remains the same as the original film, where, as fans know, there can be “only one.”

In the new photos, Cavill is seen wearing a long dark trench coat that stands out right away. The coat looks heavy and detailed, with straps and layered sections that give it a rough and worn feel. Underneath, he keeps it simple with a dark shirt and hoodie. He also has a visible scar on his face, which may hint at a recent fight in the story.

His outfit continues with fitted cargo trousers and strong combat boots, giving the character a practical and battle-ready look. The design suggests he is always on the move and prepared for action, while still trying to blend into a modern city.

Fans of the original may notice a small connection to Christopher Lambert, who played the role in the 1986 film. His version of the character also used a long coat to stay unnoticed, though Cavill’s look feels darker and more intense.

The film is being directed by Chad Stahelski, known for the John Wick series. The cast also includes Dave Bautista, who was previously seen on set as the villain, along with Russell Crowe, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, Marisa Abela, Max Zhang, and Drew McIntyre.

Production has been ongoing for months, even after a delay caused by an earlier injury to Cavill. The movie is expected to stay close to the original story, based on early reports about the script written by Michael Finch.

The film is currently planned for release in 2027, so fans will likely see more updates and footage as filming continues.
