All five seasons of the landmark series arrive on Prime Video on Monday, September 1. Set in the fictional town of Dillon, Texas, the show centers on the Dillon Panthers and Coach Eric Taylor as the community rides the pressures and hopes of high school football. Developed by Peter Berg from H. G. Bissinger’s non-fiction book and the 2004 film, the series blends on-field drama with stories about family, education, and small-town life.

The ensemble includes Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton, with key roles across the seasons for Zach Gilford, Taylor Kitsch, Minka Kelly, Aimee Teegarden, Jesse Plemons, and later Michael B. Jordan. Across 76 episodes, the production filmed in and around Austin and Pflugerville, Texas, using a handheld, natural-light style that became a hallmark of the series.
