Hit Crime Mystery Scores a Second Season Renewal on Paramount+
Paramount+ has officially renewed the crime drama series Dexter: Resurrection for a second season following its strong debut.

The cast also includes Uma Thurman, Jack Alcott, David Zayas, Ntare Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, Emilia Suárez, James Remar, and Peter Dinklage.
Dexter: Resurrection premiered on July 11, on Paramount+ Premium and consists of ten episodes. The story picks up ten weeks after the events of Dexter: New Blood. Dexter, having recovered from a near-fatal gunshot, tracks a missing Harrison to New York City, while Captain Angel Batista from Miami is in pursuit.
The series premiere made a huge impact on streaming platforms. According to reports, Dexter: Resurrection drew 3.1 million global viewers in its first three days, surpassing the streaming debut of Dexter: Original Sin by 44% and Dexter: New Blood by 76%.
Critics have also responded positively. Rotten Tomatoes gave the show a 95% approval rating based on 62 reviews, with the consensus stating, “Dexter brushes off a minor case of death and multiple false endings to reemerge as vital as ever in a knowingly absurd continuation that rediscovers the thrill of the hunt.”
Metacritic scored the series 65 out of 100, indicating generally favorable reviews from critics.
With the official green light for season two, fans can expect Dexter’s story to continue as he navigates dangerous new challenges while staying one step ahead of those hunting him.
