The highly anticipated thriller Holland has released its first trailer, giving audiences a glimpse into what to expect from the movie and from Gael García Bernal, and Matthew Macfadyen.

The film, directed by Mimi Cave and written by Andrew Sodroski, is set to premiere at the 2025 South by Southwest (SXSW) festival on March 9 before its official release on Prime Video on March 27.

In Holland, Kidman plays Nancy Vandergroot, a woman from a quiet Midwestern town who begins to suspect her husband (Macfadyen) is living a double life. But as she digs deeper, she realizes the truth may be even darker than she ever imagined. The film also features Jude Hill as their son, alongside Rachel Sennott, Lennon Parham, and Isaac Krasner.

Originally titled Holland, Michigan, the movie has been in development for years, with an early version set to star Naomi Watts and Bryan Cranston. After Amazon secured the rights in 2016, the project finally moved forward with a new cast and creative team, officially starting production in 2023. Filming took place in Holland, Michigan, as well as Nashville, Tennessee.

With the trailer now out, excitement is building for the film’s debut. Holland promises an intense mix of mystery and drama, adding to Kidman’s impressive list of suspenseful performances. Fans can catch it on Prime Video starting March 27.
