Home Sweet Home Alone: New Trailer Presents A Villain Couple
It had to happen eventually, it was inevitable.
A reboot of the Home Alone franchise was widely mentioned during the last few years, and now it will debut on November 12 exclusively on Disney+ with Archie Yates in the role of a kid who’s accidentally left at home by his family while a pair of robbers wants to hit a house that’s guarded only by a “helpless” child.
Home Alone franchise started in back 1990 with a classic Christmas movie starring Macaulay Culkin. It was followed by a sequel also starring Culkin in 1992. Those first movies are still remembered as Christmas classics and they’re rewatched annually every Holiday season.
Three more Home Alone movies were released afterward with a completely different cast, but they were all panned by critics and the audience. Now, Disney is willing to give it another shot with the sixth movie that the audience already didn’t receive well. The first trailer was released three weeks ago, and it got 85k dislikes compared to only 21k likes, and that’s saying a lot.
This reboot will feature two villains. Rob Delaney will play Jeff Fritzovski, and Ellie Kemper will play his wife Pam. Why this sounds so awfully familiar to Home Alone 4? Well, let’s hope it will be better at least. In the newest promo video, we could’ve seen a piece of the action where the criminal couple is, typically for a Home Alone movie, falling down on every single improvised trap.
Directed by Dan Mazer, and starring Archie Yates in the main role, Home Sweet Home Alone will debut exclusively on Disney+ on November 12.
