Horror Fans Rejoice: ‘Scream 7’ Gets an Official First Look
Scream 7 is the next movie in the famous slasher series, and fans have a lot to be excited about. The film is directed by Kevin Williamson and written by Guy Busick, based on a story by James Vanderbilt and Busick.
The cast includes returning stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Roger L. Jackson, and David Arquette. New faces joining the movie are Isabel May and Joel McHale.
The official logo for Scream 7 has been revealed, and the first trailer will be released soon. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters in the United States on February 27, 2026, and will be distributed by Paramount Pictures.

The production of Scream 7 has seen several big changes. After the directors of Scream (2022) and Scream VI, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, left the project in August 2023, Christopher Landon was brought in to direct.
But later, there were more changes when stars Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega exited the movie in late 2023. Landon also left, and Kevin Williamson, who worked on the early Scream films, came back to direct.
Neve Campbell confirmed in March 2024 that she would return to the franchise after missing Scream VI.
Filming started in Atlanta, Georgia, in January of this year under the working title Scar Tissue and wrapped up in March. Campbell shared that the filming schedule was originally set for September 2024 but was pushed back to December 2024 due to scheduling conflicts.
The story will bring back familiar characters like Sidney Prescott, Gale Weathers, Dewey Riley, and Ghostface. Campbell plays Sidney again, while Cox is back as Gale, and Arquette returns as Dewey.
Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown reprise their roles as Chad and Mindy Meeks-Martin. Joel McHale joins as Sidney’s husband, Mark Evans, and Isabel May plays Sidney’s daughter.
Fans of the original movies will also see Matthew Lillard and Scott Foley returning as Stu Macher and Roman Bridger in some way. Additional actors with undisclosed roles include Anna Camp, Mark Consuelos, Ethan Embry, Asa Germann, Mckenna Grace, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Michelle Randolph, and Jimmy Tatro.
