Horror Game DO NOT PLAY Announced for PC – Trailer Revealed

Share:

A new horror adventure game called DO NOT PLAY has been announced for PC (Steam). It’s being developed by Fahrenheit 213 and published by SCRAP, the same company known for the Real Escape Game experiences. The game is planned to launch in 2026, and it already has fans curious — and a little creeped out.

The title says it all — this is a game you’re not supposed to play. According to its Steam page, the story starts when a system error happens while you’re playing. Your screen suddenly fills with windows, and strange things begin to happen.

The game is said to be based on an old internet browser game called GeM, which was rumored to be banned in the early 2000s.

The developers say they had nothing to do with the original GeM and that they are not responsible for anything that might happen if you play DO NOT PLAY. That alone is enough to send chills down your spine.

DO NOT PLAY is a first-person escape game filled with puzzles. Players will need to solve mini-games that appear on the screen in order to find a way out. The game feels like an old-school internet experience — full of pixel art, websites, strange videos, and creepy photos.

You’ll click through browser-like games, each more mysterious than the last. It’s like a haunted version of the internet from the 2000s.

  • First-person psychological horror.
  • A point-and-click adventure based on the myth of a “banned” browser game.
  • Filled with mini-games styled like old flash games.
  • Strange and nostalgic visuals, including pixel art and eerie websites.
  • A mysterious story where you uncover the truth behind a scary internet rumor.

The game includes a strong warning: “This is a game that you must never play.” The developers have also said they won’t be responsible for anything that happens if you stream or share gameplay. It adds to the creepy feeling and makes the game even more mysterious.

There’s no exact play time listed yet, and it seems that part of the fun is going in blind — not knowing what’s real, or what’s part of the game.
