Hugh Jackman Reacts to Martha Stewart’s Take on Ryan Reynolds: “He Can Act Funny, But He Isn’t Funny”: “Finally, Someone Says It”
Martha Stewart unintentionally kicked off a roast of Ryan Reynolds with her recent comments suggesting that the actor isn’t funny in real life. Stewart appeared on the November episode of the “Rent Free” game show, where Bilt CEO Ankur Jain asked her to name three celebrities she thought people would enjoy hanging out with.
She first mentioned her friend Snoop Dogg and then chose Ryan Reynolds as her second pick, explaining why she believes fans would choose him.
He’s probably on the list just ‘cause he covers himself up in his movies and you don’t see his face.
You want to know something? He’s not so funny in real life. No, he’s not so funny. He’s very serious.

I don’t think anyone expects Reynolds to act like Deadpool all the time, even in private, so Stewart probably didn’t intend for her comment to come off as mean. However, the actor showed he could definitely take a joke by responding to Stewart’s remarks:
I’d disagree with her. But I tried that once. The woman is unexpectedly spry. She really closed the gap after a mile or so.
Reynolds’ Deadpool & Wolverine co-star Hugh Jackman jumped into the conversation and began roasting his longtime friend and “co-worker.”
The last celebrity that Bilt members said they’d love to hang out with was Taylor Swift, which didn’t surprise Stewart. She described the Lavender Haze singer as “just lovely.”
When asked about the list, Stewart said it mostly made sense, but she would replace Ryan Reynolds with George Clooney “because he’s funny.”
“He’s really nice to hang out with,” she added.
As for Reynolds and Jackman, the actor must be considered somewhat funny by his peers, as he is reportedly being considered to host the next Oscars alongside Hugh Jackman.
