Hugh Jackman surprised fans this week with a simple photo that quickly turned into a viral moment. The actor posted a picture of himself on social media and realized his hair looked exactly like Wolverine’s famous style. After more than 20 years of playing the X-Men hero, it seems the look has stuck with him.

In the photo, Jackman’s hair flares out at the sides, just like the character he first played in 2000. He joked about it in the caption, writing, When you wake up, look in the mirror, and realize you’ve actually become the character you’ve played for 25 years. Fans flooded the comments with jokes, saying he has fully transformed into Logan at this point.

The post comes not long after Jackman returned as Wolverine in “Deadpool & Wolverine,” starring alongside Ryan Reynolds. The film was a major hit and marked another chapter in his long history with the character. Even in his fifties, he continues to take on physically demanding roles.

But Jackman’s career is not just about superheroes. He recently appeared in the musical drama “Song Sung Blue,” now streaming on Peacock. In the film, he stars opposite Kate Hudson as part of a Neil Diamond tribute act. The role gave him a chance to show both his singing skills and his dramatic range.

He has several new projects lined up for 2026. One of them is “The Sheep Detectives” for Amazon MGM Studios. In the film, he plays a shepherd whose sheep try to solve the mystery of his death.

The cast includes Emma Thompson, Nicholas Braun, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. He is also set to star in “The Death of Robin Hood,” directed by Michael Sarnoski. The movie will follow an older Robin Hood dealing with the consequences of his past.

Outside of film, Jackman is returning to the stage. He will headline a concert series at Radio City Music Hall titled “From New York With Love.” The show will feature songs from his well-known roles in “The Greatest Showman” and “Les Misérables.” He has also launched a new theater company called Together with producer Sonia Friedman. The company plans to focus on smaller, more personal live performances in the U.S. and the U.K.

From blockbuster action films to musicals and stage shows, Jackman continues to move between genres with ease. And now, even his morning hair routine reminds fans of the role that defined much of his career.

I think it’s fun to see how closely fans still connect him to Wolverine after all these years. It shows how powerful that role has been. At the same time, it’s clear he is doing much more than just superhero movies. What do you think about his accidental Wolverine look? And which of his upcoming projects are you most excited about?
