Hunter Schafer is having a big month. The actress, best known for playing Jules Vaughn in HBO’s ‘Euphoria’, just wrapped the show’s third season and is now gearing up for one of the most anticipated sci-fi releases of the fall.

Schafer has spent years balancing acting with fashion. Before landing ‘Euphoria’, she modeled for brands like Calvin Klein, Dior, Miu Miu and Versace, and she has served as a brand ambassador for Shiseido Makeup, Prada and Mugler.

Now, a new photo of Schafer is making the rounds online. The recently shared image shows the actress drenched in deep electric blue light, sitting beside a window with her long blonde hair catching a streak of glowing yellow.

She wears a dark strapless top with a jacket slipping off her shoulders, gazing away from the camera with a dreamy, cinematic expression. Through the window behind her, a bright red building with hanging lanterns, Chinese signage, and passersby on the street adds a pop of color to the moody scene.

The photo has a distinctly futuristic, neon-noir feel. For many fans, it fits perfectly with the actress’s next major project. Schafer stars as Cora in ‘Blade Runner 2099’, Prime Video’s live-action sequel series set 50 years after ‘Blade Runner 2049’. Cora is a human fugitive who has spent her life running from Blade Runners but must now take on one last identity by becoming one herself.

She is forced to partner with Olwen, played by Michelle Yeoh, a replicant Blade Runner who is just days from the end of her lifespan. Together, they hunt down a runaway hiding a truth that could collapse their fragile city.

The series imagines a radically transformed Los Angeles, where replicants have become the dominant force, and humanity is no longer in control. Showrunner Silka Luisa has explained that she always found herself rooting for the replicants in the original film.

The photo arrives right as excitement for the series is building. Schafer and Yeoh recently took the stage at Prime Video’s New York Comic Con panel alongside Luisa, co-stars Dimitri Abold, Lewis Gribben and Matthew Needham, and executive producers Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson.

The panel debuted a new trailer, following the first teaser shown at San Diego Comic-Con in July. That earlier Hall H panel drew more than 6,500 fans. The supporting cast also includes Sheila Atim, Tom Burke, Johnny Harris, Daniel Rigby and Amy Lennox. ‘Shogun’ filmmaker Jonathan van Tulleken directed the first 2 episodes, while Ridley Scott serves as an executive producer.

Unlike many franchise expansions, ‘Blade Runner 2099’ was always intended as a limited series. Luisa confirmed the story will play out over 8 episodes with a beginning, middle, and end, much like a film. All 8 episodes will premiere on November 25 exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories. It marks the franchise’s first live-action TV series.

The project caps off a busy stretch for the actress. Earlier this year, she turned heads at the Met Gala in a custom Prada look inspired by Gustav Klimt’s painting ‘Mäda Primavesi’. Her film credits include ‘Kinds of Kindness’, ‘Cuckoo’ and ‘The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’. With ‘Blade Runner 2099’ on the horizon, her neon-lit photo feels like the perfect preview of her next chapter.
