‘I’m in Love with the Villainess’ is a Japanese light novel series by Inori and Hanagata. It originally appeared online from January 2018 to February 2021 on Shōsetsuka ni Narō and was later published by Aichu Publishing under their GL Bunko imprint in February 2019. The story follows Oohashi Rei, who is reincarnated as Rae Taylor, the heroine of her favorite otome game, Revolution. 

Rather than pursuing the game’s original romance routes, Rae is determined to win the heart of Claire François, the main antagonist, using her knowledge of the game’s future events to give Claire a happy ending before an impending revolution disrupts their chances. ‘I’m in Love with the Villainess’ is about to get an anime adaptation, and this is why we decided to review the release schedule.
