Industry Insider Reveals When Moon Knight Might Return to the MCU

Moon Knight has become one of the most popular MCU superheroes, thanks to the success of his solo Disney+ series. Like most Disney+ shows, it was designed as a mini-series with a set number of episodes, and Moon Knight followed this format.

However, rules can change. Even though the series had a definitive ending, fans have been hoping for a second season for quite some time.

Recently, Mohamed Diab, one of the show’s directors, reignited hope by saying that with Marvel, nothing is ever truly finished. While there are no current plans, he expressed his eagerness to work on future projects with Moon Knight and highlighted his strong connection with Marvel.

Rumors have been swirling that Moon Knight Season 2 is in development. However, industry insider MyTimeToShineHello, who has a mixed track record, recently claimed on social media that the character might instead appear in upcoming Avengers projects or the rumored Midnight Sons project.

The Avengers rumor isn’t surprising, especially with Secret Wars expected to feature over 50 characters. As for a Midnight Sons movie, it hasn’t been confirmed yet, but there’s speculation that Marvel is planning to bring together its magical and supernatural characters in one project.

With characters like Mephisto, Jennifer Kale, Blade, and a rumored Ghost Rider appearance, the project seems likely. The most mentioned names for the team include Wong, Moon Knight, Ghost Rider, Blade, Werewolf by Night, and Man-Thing, with others like Black Knight, Scarlet Scarab, and Elsa Bloodstone also in the mix.
