New information about Invincible Season 5 has been shared following updates from Amazon. The adult animated series is officially in development and will continue the story for at least another season.

The show is currently expected to return in early 2027. While there is no exact release date yet, the current window points to a possible launch between January and April. Based on previous seasons, which mostly arrived in late winter or early spring, March 2027 is seen as a likely target, although nothing is confirmed.

There is also no trailer available yet. Based on how the series has promoted earlier seasons, the first teaser is expected to appear during New York Comic Con in 2026. A full trailer would likely follow much closer to release in early 2027.

The main voice cast is expected to return for Season 5. This includes Steven Yeun as Mark Grayson, Sandra Oh as Debbie, J.K. Simmons as Nolan, and Gillian Jacobs as Atom Eve. A large group of supporting cast members is also expected back, including Seth Rogen, Walton Goggins, and many others who have been part of the series across previous seasons.

Story details are still limited, but Season 5 will continue directly after the events of Season 4. The show will also keep adapting the original comic book storyline by Robert Kirkman, moving forward from issue 78. That means the next season will continue major ongoing conflicts already set up in the series.

One of the key storylines expected to continue involves the Viltrumites, including Thragg, who are now living on Earth after the destruction of their home world. Their presence creates major tension, especially for Mark Grayson, who is forced to deal with the consequences of allowing them to stay.

Another major thread follows Allen the Alien, who now leads the Coalition of Planets. He faces a difficult decision involving a powerful virus that could wipe out the Viltrumites but also risks killing several major characters, including Mark and his family.

Other ongoing stories are also expected to continue. These include unresolved issues in Nolan and Debbie’s relationship, the fate of Oliver, and updates on characters like the Guardians of the Globe, Robot, and Monster Girl. The series will also continue expanding newer plotlines introduced in Season 4, including the Damien Darkblood storyline.

As for Season 6, there is no official confirmation yet. However, based on the show’s track record and the amount of comic material still available, many expect another renewal announcement in the near future, possibly during major events like San Diego Comic-Con.

Season 5 looks like it will continue the show’s long-running approach of mixing emotional family drama with large-scale superhero conflict. The wait until 2027 is long, but the story clearly still has a lot left to cover. What do you think about Invincible Season 5 and where the story is heading? Share your thoughts in the comments.
