Irina Shayk is turning heads again with her latest high-fashion photo shoot for V Magazine’s January 2026 issue. The Russian supermodel is showing off a bold, “bondage-inspired” style that has already gone viral on social media.

The magazine hit stands on January 24, and the shoot, photographed by Steven Klein, embraces a cinematic, “Fifty Shades of Grey” vibe. Shayk wore a sheer bodysuit with thin black fabric arranged like a harness, leaving little to the imagination.

In one of the most talked-about images, she straddles a Harley-Davidson motorcycle wearing a black leather mask, a studded thong, and no bra. She brings a defiant energy to the shoot that sets the tone for the whole editorial. Shayk told V Magazine that this character is in her “yes” era—fearless, unapologetic, fully herself.

Another striking image shows her topless next to a black horse. Shayk said this picture was inspired by her late father’s love for motorbikes and animals. “For me, [this story] represents a kind of wild femininity. Creating this woman with Steven opened so many visual windows. It felt like stepping into another world,” she explained to V Magazine.

The timing of the cover is significant. Shayk recently turned 40 on January 6, and after nearly twenty years in modeling, she is still one of the most in-demand supermodels in the world. Her ability to command attention on camera hasn’t faded with time.

Shayk is also busy with other projects in 2026. She is a lead model in the Pirelli Calendar, photographed by Sølve Sundsbø, where she represents “wind” in a series of ethereal, natural-themed shots. She attended the calendar launch in Prague, making a splash on the red carpet with bleached eyebrows and a sleek black outfit.

Beyond modeling, Shayk is focused on her life in New York City with her eight-year-old daughter, Lea De Seine. She often shares that motherhood has been “the most transformative experience,” helping her feel more comfortable in her own skin. Professionally, she has also explored creative work behind the camera, starring in a short film for a luxury fashion brand and continuing to appear on top runways at early 2026 fashion weeks.

Fans can look forward to more high-profile collaborations this year. Shayk is set to work with Alaïa and Maison Margiela, both of which were highlighted in her V Magazine shoot. Her ability to reinvent herself while staying connected to her roots in a small Russian village is one of the reasons she remains at the top of her field.

Irina Shayk’s “wild femininity” era shows her fearless energy and confidence. The question now is whether this is the peak of her supermodel career. Fans seem to think she’s stronger than ever, and the images in V Magazine only reinforce that idea.
