As the ’Peacemaker’ TV show is closing in, new information about ’The Suicide Squad’ spin-off show pops in every day. Although most fans already assumed this after watching ‘The Suicide Squad’, writer and director James Gunn today confirmed on his Twitter account where the show will be set in the timeline.

Peacemaker TV show will definitely take place after the events of The Suicide Squad, just like the post-credit scene of the movie teased. Although John Cena’s character was presumably killed by Idris Elba’s Bloodsport in the movie, the post-credit scene showed that Peacemaker is alive in the hospital and that Amanda Waller’s team will need him for another mission “just to save the f***ing world. That’s all.”

James Gunn, writer and director of The Suicide Squad, wrote all eight episodes of ‘Peacemaker’ and he directed five of them. John Cena reprises his role as the titular character. The show will premiere in January 2022.

More info about the show is expected to be revealed on DC FanDome next weekend, probably the exact premiere date and the official trailer of the show. Stay tuned.
