Ja Rule Sparks Chaos on Plane, Claims He “Popped on These Punks”
Ja Rule was involved in a heated confrontation on a flight from San Francisco to New York over the weekend. The rapper, whose real name is Jeffrey Atkins, reportedly got into a shouting match with Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda, who are both associated with 50 Cent’s G-Unit Records.
The altercation was captured on video and shared on social media, including TMZ.
According to a Delta spokesperson, the airline staff spoke to the passengers involved in the disagreement. One of them was later rebooked on a different flight, which landed safely.

In a statement to TMZ, Ja Rule didn’t seem bothered by the incident. “These f**** clowns… I saw them when I got on I was laughing like look at these two clowns lol they look like they saw a ghost deer in the headlights they always talking s**** so I addressed them lol,” he said.

Uncle Murda, whose real name is Leonard Grant, also shared footage from the flight, showing Ja Rule seated and loudly responding to comments from others. Murda added in his post, “Ja got off the plane lol I took his seat.”
50 Cent, who has been a longtime critic of Ja Rule, shared some of the clips online, writing, “He was by himself so he had to make a scene so they could remove his scary a**.”
The feud between Ja Rule and 50 Cent’s camp dates back to the 1990s, though Ja Rule has previously said he doesn’t think the rivalry has helped New York hip-hop. “Look at Kendrick and Drake. Nothing good is coming out of any of these things,” he said in a recent podcast with Carmelo Anthony. “I feel like I was the better rapper.”
While the beef is clearly ongoing, it seems unnecessary for things to escalate in public spaces like a plane. Fans might be entertained, but conflicts like this don’t really benefit anyone or the music scene. What do you think about Ja Rule’s behavior and the old feud? Share your thoughts in the comments.
